The node.live community has moved!

You can now find the online community for incoming and enrolled UWA students on the UWA Students Facebook Fan Page

The functionality of Facebook fan pages has recently been upgraded and we can now broaden our community to more students and staff. We see the move to Facebook as a natural evolution for the NODE project – from an in-house system to a globally-used network.

The NODE project will continue to run the annual survey of UWA First Year students’ access to, experience with and expectations of ICT. If you have read our book chapter* or any other publication that refers to the node.live community you can now check out our Facebook Fan page or contact the chapter authors.

UWA Staff can direct students to the Facebook group (email for the HTML to create a direct link Facebook badge) and can get more information, disclaimer text and full Terms and Conditions from the Student Services website.

Anyone got a workshop request?

The STUDYSmarter workshops are almost over for Semester 1, but we will be running them again next semester. Our workshops are free and cover an array of topics. I was just wondering if any of you bloggers out there had a workshop request? Is there a topic that you would like covering in Semester 2?

How was your study break?

Well ... the study break is almost over and I hope you've enjoyed the time off. As a student I loved my study breaks - it's a shame university staff don't get a 'working break' each semester! I'd lounge around the house in my trackies, work on an assignment or two, and would break up the study with a bit of daytime TV. Those were the days! Smile

WARNING: Annoyed Blogger Alert

Hello.

Yes, I am annoyed. No, it has nothing to do with daylight savings (although, if you are feeling the need to be glared at ferociously, please bring that up with me next time you see me).

A unit I was really looking forward to doing next semester has been cancelled. This unit wasn't offered last year, something that saddened me at the time - however, I cheered up when I found it was being offered second semester this year.

I cheered down when I found it had been cancelled due to staff issues.

Oops!

Hey everyone Innocent

I realised this morning, on the bus to school, that I had forgotten to blog yesterday! I believe that this may be because I spent the weekend blowing my nose, sniffling when I wasn't blowing, sneezing and generally feeling all spacey and cotton-woolly in the head.

My new toy

I just got an I phone. I know I'm probably way behind the times especially because the i phone I got was a hand me down from my big sister. But I love it., I still haven't really figured out the phone part of the phone but to tell you the truth that doesn't seem to matter very much!
