We campus technical staff had one of our semi regular meetings (and sausage sizzles) today, and talked of many things. One of the things is a favourite subject of mine, Student Internet Access.

Tumbleweeds?

Things seem quiet on the ole' Node. But that's not to say everyone is asleep here. We IT folks are usually run off our feet over the break, since it's the only time we can do any major system work (yes, we actually don't like breaking things students are using!)

Arts has plans this year to synchronise all student passwords with Pheme, so our students will just be able to login using their Pheme password and Person ID/Student Number (just like Node), so that's one less password to remember. Woo!
In other Arts news, the Peacocks are moulting their long tail feathers, so keep an eye out if you're in the area.
