Hello, my myriad of fans!
So, once again exams are upon us. Not much fun to be had there, I'm afraid. So let's talk about something else: life. The thing that happens while you're studying, reading, writing and drinking tea at either Hackett or Reid (it's a personal choice, really). It's what you realise you have once exams are done and you suddenly wake up in the moring, thinking frantically, "Oh crap, I should be reading/writing/thinking!" Then you realise that Uni is done for the year and you relax (or, if you're like me, you relax a tiny bit because it can't be over yet... can it?).
This is when you have time to think about stuff that doesn't have to do with referencing and remembering useless (and some useful) details. Of course, it's not all fun and games when exams are done: now you have time to work more (which, on the bright side, means more money - on the dark side, it means... WORK). What will happen though, if all goes well and you haven't lost it in the process of this year, is that you will have more space in your mind. I just don't have any head-space when I'm studying - my head is filled with what I have to do, when I have to do it by and how I can do it to the best of my ability without going totally mad.
But there are downsides to not being at Uni anymore: you won't get to see all the people you do on your daily/bi/tri/weekly amblings around the campus, you won't be excited about the next UniSkills brunch/lunch/BBQ coming up and you won't have anything to use as an excuse when someone asks you to do something you don't want to do: "I'm sorry but school work is just so full on right now..."
Oh and when you don't have school work to do, you spend too much time on email and FaceBook... or is that just me? Oh wait: I spend too much time on email and FaceBook when I'm at Uni too... ok, ignore that reason - it's not a good one, obviously.
Anyway, Uni is still on and I'm on Node instead of doing my commentary, so I'm going to go and be a good student now and do my work. And turn off my internet connection...
Until further notice,
