Exams are almost upon us and I bet like 99% of the other students at UWA I could really do with a an extra week of study to prepare. The stress levels are slowly increasing and it's bringing back definite memories of the TEE. Those were the last exams I sat less than a year ago and it feels like just yesterday I was nervous about those exams. University exams though are a whole new kettle of fish and differ vastly to those had at school.
Firstly at Uni there are prac exams to do which require more than just rote learning and I have to therefore have a better hands on understanding of the work. Secondly uni is better in the way that more important than anything you just have to pass so that you get credit for the unit, unlike at school where you had to dominate each exam and test to get the highest possible TER. It allows a higher degree of laziness but I'm pretty competitive and like to do the best I can even if it's not totally required so I'll be aiming for more than just a pass.
These exams will provide a steep learning curve for me as I begin to get my head around the study week and so that I know for the next set of exams how much preparation is required. There should be a few nervous nights but that is expected and as long as I put in the work I'll be sweet. I'll keep you all posted with a blog in the next week as I build up to the upcoming exams. Catchya.
