I wonder if anyone has created a new psychological term for obsession with email because I'm sure some people suffer from this condition. Email is great but it's also really intrusive sometimes. You start checking it on the weekends, when you're on leave, just in case you've missed something. And then, before you know it, you're hooked into replying, thinking about study or work or whatever and there's no escape.
I just spent 5 days driving across Australia. Lots of wide empty spaces. Not much email access in the middle of the Nullarbor. Great. But within 2 hours of arriving in Canberra, what did I do? Yep, I read my emails. Maybe we should all spend more time in the desert sometimes, away from emails and other distractions.

Inbox fatigue
Yes!! I've heard of this, its called inbox fatigue, I know I've heard a fancier sounding term for it but I think I've forgotten given all the email information I deal with on a daily basis :)
I hear facebook friend request fatigue is also taking over our lives...
