I'm finding it hard to believe that another academic year is about to begin. And that means -YES -it's time for Flying Start again. In case you haven't heard of it, Flying Start is UniSkills' great 2 day orientation program for first year undergrads who are new to Perth and want to make some new friends before uni starts. Or maybe they are students from schools that only enrol a few students at UWA. And then there are some mature age students who get involved.

It's always a huge amount of fun. A lot of work to organise so all of us in UniSkills are full speed ahead at present getting everything ready. But it will be great to meet the 2009 students next week on Feb 10-11. If you haven't signed up, you need to asap -that's before Wed 4th Feb.

Just before Flying Start,  on 9 Feb, we have Mature Age Welcome. Believe it or not, you're a mature-age student if you are 20 by 1 March 09. It's a great opportunity to meet other mature age students and get some info that you won't get at Orientation. You can find out more on the UniSkills website but you'd better enrol by 5 Feb.
