I can't believe that one week of semester is gone already and before I know it, it will be Week 3. And Week 3 means Link Week, our week-long flurry of events and activities to let first year students know that we are not abandoning them now that semester has started, but that we still have lots of things happening around campus. The idea is that there are opportunities to meet other students and staff informally. There's the Festival on 18 MArch on the Oak Lawn at 1pm -free BBQ, music, various info stalls where faculty staff are present to talk to you and other good stuff happening. Centrelink will be there if you have money questions, Study Abroad if you are already dreaming of travel, the Lbrary if you're struggling with IRIS or finding resources, and Apple, givng away iTunes cards...

Which brings me to the fact that we have 2 iPods, 80g video type, to give away. So if you are a first year student, grab an entry from foyer or reception of Student Services, and enter with a friend -or grab any other FY student. Or look out for the buggy driving around campus in Week 2, with Student Services staff. We'll have entries and other give-aways so come and say hi. Maybe you wil be the lucky one to win the ipod for you and a friend.
