2008 sees the 10th anniversary of the MP3 player and the launch of the apple iphone. These devices are becoming more and more important in our lives and our education. Yet the iphone and itunes is generally regarded as highly inaccessible. The good news is T&T consultancy are doing something about this, but is it enough?

This node group is for people who like watching movies and talking about them. We've got the support of Luna Cinemas via attendance at their media screenings. Please contact me on katie.ellis@uwa.edu.au if you'd like to attend a media screening and then post a short review of the film in this group.
But to get things started whats your favourite film and why? If you can't tie it down to one film, pick a genre!!

UniAccess provides assistance to students with disabilities and medical conditions. Here are some of the things we help you with:

Link Week is happening next week. All the events are coming together and it looks like its going to be a great week with some good opportunities to meet more students and your lecturers informally in a festival atmosphere.

The Scholarships section on the UniAccess website has been updated - check it out

There are lots of great opportunities there for students with a disability to get some extra support during their studies. We are fast approaching the cut off dates for a few of them so you may have to get in fast! The Dr Louisa Alessandri Memorial Fund Scholarship is a good one to apply for - applications are due on the 26th October.
