This node group is for people who like watching movies and talking about them. We've got the support of Luna Cinemas via attendance at their media screenings. Please contact me on katie.ellis@uwa.edu.au if you'd like to attend a media screening and then post a short review of the film in this group.
But to get things started whats your favourite film and why? If you can't tie it down to one film, pick a genre!!
... in SuperSearch! It's limitless possibilities and endless connections to obscure fricking journals with tiny wee undergrad papers AND book reviews (what use is a BLOODY book review???? ) is driving me to the point of BASHING ON MY KEYBOARD VERY HARD, pushing my temples to stop my brain from exploding, grunt loudly at the computer, push my fingers as far into my stomach as I possibly can without it really properly hurting and wanting to jump out the window.

Just a short entry today as I need to do something ... what was it ... oh yes: sleep. I need to sleep so I can wake up and do more study. So much to do and so little time! I will be so happy for the study break so I can study ... seriously! I can study without the threat of lecturers reminding me of more upcoming assignments.
Ah, the small pleasures of life :)
Good night, fellow students and may your brain get a very deserved rest :)

The Powerhouse Museum in Sydney has become the first museum in the world to release historical photographs for access as part of Flickr’s Commons Project.

Is anyone else glad to see the end of daylight saving? I'm SO enjoying it not being so dark when I get up in the morning. Is there anyone under 30 who agrees?
Weblog or Blog is normally used for online storytelling. Many people publish their blogs to tell their thoughts, opinions, life experience or latest news. From a business perspective, blogs are also used in promote products, services and provide customers with technical support. Likewise, blogs are used as a new communication medium in university online communities. However, the use of blogs for knowledge management is a new area of research.
This is a weblog entry, or blog entry. They often contain details about the author's life, although this one does not.
Do not throw stones in glass houses without proper protection. That is all.

Who was it who said 'Genius is 10% inspiration and 90% perspiration'? They should have said 90% good time management. No point working hard if you aren't really focused on the tasks that need to be done and applying the right amount of time to those that matter. My challenge is doing the hard tasks rather than being distracted by concentrating on things I enjoy (it's still work, after all!). It's such a skill to have the discipline to work out what needs to be done and just get on with it. Don't think I've quite got it together yet.

Greetings, fellow students :)
So, I know you are all wondering (note how I assume that my blog is read by hundreds, no, thousands of people!) what ILS is.
ILS is a new acronym that I have come up with to stand for 'Incomprehensive Lecture Syndrome'. It means when you attend or listen to a lecture and you have no idea, I repeat, NO idea, what the lecturer was talking about. Even though he or she was speaking English (as far as you could tell, anyway).
The luxury of 2 extra days in a weekend is hard to measure. All those tasks that normally take up most of the weekend, just so you're in shape for Monday morning again, can be spread over 4 days. There's some time to catch up on those emails with interesting links that you never quite get to usually. A bit of time to read blogs, reflect, read, even talk to people. And sleep...gradually you stop waking up at the crack of dawn. Ahh, long weekends, there should be more of them.
