Inserting an image in a post

Inserting an image in a book or blog post is a bit fiddly at first, but relatively simple once you know how. The insert image button in your tools is an image of a small tree (see to the right of image below).

Insert image button

Clicking on this button brings up the insert/edit image box. Here is where you insert an image, which needs its own url (or web address). If you have not yet uploaded your image to node, orsimply don't know what its url is, then click on the image/file browser button to see the list of your personal files on node.

Insert/Edit Image Box (with image/file browser button highlighted): file space button

The image/file browser box is where you find your image to upload to node ('browse' button). Once you have selected the file you want to upload, simply hi the 'upload file' button. After the few moments that it takes to upload your file , it should then appear in the list of  your personal files. At this point, you hit 'add'  to add the file's url to the Insert/Edit Image Box (see above). It's important that you also complete the 'Image Description' field, as this gives an alternate word description of your image for those who view your post with a vision impairment. It is also the text that appears when you leave your mouse cursor hovering over your picture.
