Hi there! First of all a big WELCOME to all the new students!
Today I had fun directing students to step 3 of their enrolment at the maths lab! It wasn't very busy and the weather was just nice!
The main questions were "Where is the maths lab?", "Where is Hackett Hall?", "Where are the closest toilets?", and "Where is the reid library?". The signs around campus were very helpful and most new students knew where they were going!

In 2007, we asked three fabulous then-first-year students - Dion, Anne and Elza - to blog for us on the node website. We've created a collection of the best posts on the first six weeks of life at uni for a 'fresher'. Here they are (click here for the full post ):
Orientation/pre-semester

Greetings all new UWA first years for 2008! We hope that your enrolment has gone as smoothly as can be expected, and that this post finds you chirpy and hungry for more info about the first year experience at UWA!
You've come to the right place, and we've got a handful of useful resources right here for you to check out (click here for the full post):

Good evening node people! Tonight I was thinking about persistence and how it helped me get through these years at uni. I want to share with you some quotes that may be useful, especially for first year students!

Hi again everyone! Today was an extremely hot day (and I don’t have air-conditioning at home..) so after I did what I had to do I decided to go to the shops and buy a backpack and stationery for uni (Thanks Katie, you gave me the idea!). Now I’m even more excited to start uni!

Hey there Node people! Another semester is around the corner and I am already getting organised! I know, it sounds pretty nerdy but I stress so I need to feel in control of everything before semester starts. With three kids, three casual jobs and full time study I have to be organised!
How can I get it?
